Halo Campaign Evolved Fireteam Navigation Marker Stuck Fix

Quick answer
In online co-op, navigation markers do not progress until everyone in the Fireteam passes them. If the objective appears stuck, regroup at the active marker and have every player cross it before restarting the mission.
This page owns that narrow co-op progression task. General invites, crossplay, shared unlocks, and host progression remain in the co-op guide.
Recovery checklist
- stop moving farther into the level;
- identify the most recent active navigation marker;
- count all connected Fireteam members;
- regroup on the near side of the marker;
- have each player pass through the marker area;
- wait for the objective or navigation update;
- only consider a checkpoint restart if every player crossed it and the state still did not advance.
Common reasons one player has not passed it
- a player is looting or fighting behind the group;
- a player took a side path around the marker trigger;
- someone joined or reconnected and is behind the current position;
- the team moved through a narrow transition at different times;
- the Fireteam is waiting at the next objective instead of the last marker.
These are troubleshooting checks, not official claims about the marker's exact trigger volume.
Do not misdiagnose another mission blocker
The official known-issues list separately documents a Two Betrayals progression blocker after the first generator if the banshee is destroyed. That issue has a different prevention step and is covered by the Two Betrayals banshee blocker guide.
A marker that waits for a teammate is also different from account-linking failure, a disconnected player, or a mission checkpoint that belongs to the Fireteam leader.
If regrouping does not work
Record:
- mission and rally point;
- number of players;
- whether someone joined or disconnected;
- which marker stopped updating;
- whether all players crossed it together.
Then submit a Halo Support issue report. The official notice states the condition but does not publish a universal command to repair a genuinely stuck save state.
