Official Steam requirements
The current Steam listing publishes minimum and recommended requirements rather than guaranteeing a frame-rate target for every configuration.

Steam also says downloads and updates require substantial storage and broadband access, and later mandatory updates may require additional free space.
Install size versus update download
The 100 GB value is the required available storage shown by Steam. The official July 29 patch notes list that update's download size as 20.2 GB.
These numbers describe different things. Do not subtract the update download from the storage requirement or assume the installed game occupies exactly 20.2 GB.
Driver and BIOS readiness
The July 29 build adds an in-game warning when the game detects an AMD or NVIDIA driver version with known issues.
The official issue list also documents:
- launch crashes on some Intel 13th/14th generation systems with an outdated BIOS/microcode state;
- AMD VSync/30 FPS crashes on high-refresh displays;
- named RTX 50 driver crashes in Keyes and The Maw;
- XeSS Frame Generation freeze and graphics combinations.
Use PC known issues and official fixes for symptom-specific instructions. Hardware requirements and bug workarounds remain separate player tasks.
What the specification does not prove
- a guaranteed graphics preset or frame rate;
- ideal upscaler or Frame Generation selection;
- Steam Deck battery life;
- that every GPU meeting the minimum avoids a known driver defect;
- that 100 GB is enough for every future update without temporary free space.
Practical pre-install checklist
- verify Windows 11 is current;
- leave more than the listed 100 GB free when possible;
- record CPU, GPU and driver versions;
- update the BIOS only through the correct manufacturer procedure when relevant;
- launch through the intended storefront client;
- keep enough temporary space for patches.
