Current PS5 availability
Halo: Campaign Evolved is available on PlayStation 5. Official launch material also confirms that the PS5 Collector's Edition used a physical game disc plus a Premium Edition Upgrade voucher, so the game must not be described as digital-only.
For a digital purchase, install it from your PlayStation Library. For a disc copy, insert the disc and keep it available when the console requires ownership verification.
Storage and updates
The official store warns that downloads and mandatory updates need significant free storage and broadband access. The July 29 update was listed as a 20.2 GB download, but that is not the complete installed size.
Leave additional free space for installation and update processing rather than treating one patch size as the permanent requirement.
Accounts
- A PlayStation Network account is used for the PlayStation license and platform friends.
- An Xbox Network/Microsoft account is used for cross-platform friends and shared progression.
- Use the Microsoft account you intend to keep tied to cross-platform progress.
The game displays Xbox gamertags during the account-linking process after the July 29 update. Follow the in-game identity shown before confirming a link.
Split-screen co-op
Console versions support two-player split-screen. The exact UI can change, so use the current in-game Campaign and Fireteam controls rather than relying on a button sequence copied from a pre-release preview.
Both local players should sign into the profiles they intend to use before starting the campaign.
Online co-op
Online campaign co-op supports up to four players and crossplay. Online console play may require the current PlayStation Plus entitlement.
For cross-platform friends, add the player through the Xbox network and confirm the correct gamertag. For lobby and shared progression details, use the co-op guide.
If an objective marker will not advance, regroup the entire party at the previous marker and read the Fireteam navigation marker guide.
Editions after release
The Standard Edition owns the base-game purchase intent. Premium adds the named digital extras. The pre-release early-access window ended at launch and is no longer a current benefit.
See editions comparison for the current boundary.
Controls and accessibility
Official material confirms refined controls and a broad accessibility menu. Steam lists adjustable text, difficulty, narrated menus, camera comfort, color alternatives, custom volume controls, subtitles and controller support among its current features.
This page does not invent a button-by-button DualSense map or a PS5 Pro performance target.
