Halo Campaign Evolved Terminals – Locations & Collection Guide

Overview

Halo: Campaign Evolved includes 13 text-only Terminals, one hidden in each of the game’s 13 levels (including the three prequel bonus missions). Collecting all 13 unlocks the Lore Have Mercy achievement. Once a Terminal is found, its text can be read from the Collectibles section of the main menu. The Terminal narrative focuses on 343 Guilty Spark’s time on Alpha Halo and his attempts to contact 2401 Penitent Tangent.

Because the game is recently released, exact in‑game positions for most Terminals are not yet documented in the available sources. This guide lists every level that contains a Terminal and notes what is known about their locations.

Terminal Locations

Each of the following levels contains exactly one Terminal. The Terminal on Pillar of Autumn is a UNSC ChatterNet transcript; the one on Truth and Reconciliation is a data‑transcription from 343 Guilty Spark.

Note: At the time of writing, the only named bonus level is Boarding Action. The remaining two bonus‑level Terminal entries are unlabeled in the collected source material.

Achievement: Lore Have Mercy

Finding all 13 Terminals automatically unlocks the Lore Have Mercy achievement. There is no requirement to read the Terminal texts in‑game; simply collecting them is enough.

Narrative

The Terminals are text‑only, similar to the original Halo 3 Terminals, not the animated videos used in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. The story told through these logs includes:

• 343 Guilty Spark’s daily operations on the ring.
• His attempts to communicate with the monitor of Delta Halo, 2401 Penitent Tangent.
• The Pillar of Autumn Terminal shows a casual chat log among UNSC crew members in September 2552.
• The Truth and Reconciliation Terminal contains a file where Spark awaits a scheduled status update from other Halo installations.

All transcripts can be re‑read from the main menu after unlocking.

Tips for Collecting

• Play through each level on any difficulty. Terminals are hidden in accessible areas, but no specific route has been published yet.
• Keep an eye on corners, side rooms, and behind large objects – typical Terminal hiding spots.
• After collecting a Terminal, you can immediately check the Collectibles menu to verify it was registered.
• The two bonus levels that are not named in the source may be found in the game’s prequel campaign; check the level select screen to see which ones are available.
