Halo: Campaign Evolved on Steam Deck – Verified Status

Current status

Steam currently marks Halo: Campaign Evolved as Steam Deck Verified. That is the authoritative compatibility label for the Steam version; it does not publish a guaranteed FPS, graphics preset, battery-life result, or exact Proton configuration.

What Steam confirms

  • Steam Deck Verified status;
  • single-player and online co-op;
  • full controller support;
  • Xbox and PlayStation controller support;
  • 100 GB available-storage requirement;
  • accessibility options including text, subtitle, audio, input and difficulty settings.

Storage planning

The Steam listing requires 100 GB available space, and mandatory updates may require more temporary room. The July 29 update alone was listed as a 20.2 GB download.

Check free internal or microSD storage before downloading. This site does not claim that every microSD card supplies the same load times or that a particular Deck model has enough space without cleanup.

Performance boundary

The Deck's Verified badge is stronger evidence than comparing its hardware directly with desktop GPU requirements. However, Steam does not provide a fixed performance recipe on the store page.

Do not publish these as official values without measured evidence:

  • ideal resolution or quality preset;
  • FSR mode;
  • 30/40/60 FPS target;
  • TDP limit;
  • battery duration;
  • shader-cache size.

Driver and graphics known issues

The official PC known-issues list includes specific desktop GPU and Frame Generation combinations. Do not automatically assume each issue applies identically to SteamOS.

If a Deck-specific problem occurs, record the SteamOS version, game build, compatibility layer, settings, mission and symptom. For official PC issue boundaries, see PC known issues and fixes.

Co-op and account note

The Steam version requires an Xbox Network account and supports online co-op. Use the same intended account for cross-platform progression. Steam Deck Verified does not mean offline co-op or PC split-screen is supported.
