Halo: Campaign Evolved launched July 28, 2026 with base-game access through eligible Xbox and PC Game Pass plans. Game Pass does not turn the title into permanent ownership, and it does not automatically include Premium digital extras.
PlayStation and Steam purchases are separate from Game Pass access.
Platform access
- Xbox Series X|S: use an eligible console subscription and the Microsoft account intended for play.
- Windows PC: install through the Xbox app or Microsoft Store using the subscribed account.
- Cloud Gaming: availability depends on a plan and region that currently includes cloud access.
- Steam: Steam ownership is separate; Steam also requires Xbox Network account linking for the game.
- PlayStation 5: Game Pass does not supply the PS5 license.
Premium Edition Upgrade
The upgrade adds the Premium digital content but does not include the base game. Current eligibility can depend on base-game ownership or active subscription access.
The advertised five-day early-access window ended when the game launched. Buying the upgrade now does not create a new early-access period.
What carries across platforms
Official material advertises crossplay and shared progression across supported console and PC versions. Use the same intended Microsoft/Xbox account when linking platforms.
Do not confuse shared progression with shared store ownership. A Game Pass entitlement does not grant a Steam or PlayStation license.
Online co-op
Online console co-op may require the platform's current online-multiplayer entitlement. Subscription plan names and benefits can change, so verify the live plan description instead of relying on an old tier name.

Before subscribing or upgrading
- verify the game remains in the current catalog;
- confirm the plan supports your device;
- use the Microsoft account you want tied to progression;
